Economy System

StarMC has implemented an economic system based on the “Gold Standard” that was also adopted in real-world history. To build a simple and fair economic sphere where “those who mine get rich,” our own restrictions and exchange system are in operation.


Currency and Exchange Rate

The currency unit of this server is “G”. Gold itself backs the value.

Exchange Method

With our custom economy system, you can exchange in bulk from commands.

  • Use /sell hand or /sell all to convert gold ingots or gold blocks in your possession to currency.
  • Use /buy <amount> ingot or /buy <amount> block to purchase gold ingots or gold blocks using currency.

Nether gold ore is adjusted to produce “gold nuggets” when smelted, so mining in the Overworld is more efficient.


Thorough Inflation Prevention

To prevent currency value collapse and enable long-term play, we’ve implemented the following unique restrictions.

1. Mob Drop Restrictions

  • Gold drops from Piglins and Zombie Piglins abolished: Infinite gold production through automatic traps is impossible. Gold is defined as something “you mine yourself.”

2. Smelting Specification Changes (Nether Resources)

  • Nether Gold Ore Adjustment: Gold ore obtained from the Nether doesn’t become gold ingots when smelted, but is output as “gold nuggets”. Steady mining in the Overworld (Earth) is most efficient for obtaining large amounts of gold.

About Trading and Fraud

StarMC respects free trading between players.

  • Direct Trading: Exchange of items and currency is free.
  • Fraud Acceptance: Based on our management philosophy, “fraud” and “betrayal” in-game are not prohibited. Enjoy the tension of “too good to be true deals might have a catch.” When trading, it’s important to assess your counterpart’s trustworthiness.

However, Dupe (duplication bugs) and real-world money trading (RMT) are subject to permanent BAN.


Uses for Money

Money earned is mainly used for the following purposes.

  1. Town Maintenance: Town maintenance fees occur daily.
  2. Player Commerce: Purchasing valuable items sold by other players.
  3. National Armament: Equipping for victory in Conquest.

Severe Punishment for Duplication Acts

Dupe acts that cause economic collapse are considered the “worst crime” that threatens the server’s existence. We conduct log monitoring with custom plugins and periodic data checks, and participating players will without exception face permanent BAN and confiscation of related organization assets.
